Pencas Bridge

JOO set out in 2015 to build a critical bridge that connected rural villages. Roger Orozco, JOO's Executive Director, had to cross this river daily to attend school and travel between villages was completely shut down when it flooded.

Completed in 2017, the bridge is built to serve the villages even in a once-in-a-lifetime flood, which occurred in the years following completion.
